Why does a Shed in Ryde exist? I guess I am passionate about tools, skills, learning and getting dirty. All the things I did not get much of a chance to do as a kid! As well as a place to do stuff, a Shed is a place you can build friendships. In Shearing Sheds, Engineering Sheds, Hay Sheds, Machinery Sheds, Car Sheds, Garden Sheds I have made better friends.

A Shed in Ryde thinks that sheds are a great place for blokes to find a bit of community and purpose. The aim of a Shed in Ryde is to try and provide a place for community and purpose, specifically for blokes. We hope to provide this community and purpose by doing the following things:

1 – Inviting people along to the Shed Nights/Days and having a bbq whenever possible!

2 – Providing a range of different Shed experiences.

3 – Have projects that in some way benefit the community.

4 – Accepting any bloke who comes along. Even computer programming types!
